Baby boy animal card

I was so excited to find this lovely animal print paper at Eckersley's art store the other week, and so made this card to celebrate the birth of a little friend's baby boy. I was so excited with the way it came up, and it was so easy (or at least simple!). I began by cutting out a piece of the patterned paper and positioning it on some blue and gold card stock on top of the white card. I then cut out an additional hippo, elephant, giraff and lion from some of the remaining paper and stuck it onto the card with some foam. I was very happy with the result and the recipient was very impressed - she couldn't believe that I'd made it!

Baby shower card for a baby girl

I recently bought this pretty diamond print paper from Eckersley's art supplier and so was eager to use it. Fortunately a baby shower presented itself! For this card, I stamped an umbrella and a baby from the Fiskars stamp set "The stork has landed", then coloured them using Copic markers. I then cut some pale pink and hot pink card stock and my diamond patterned paper to make the background of my card. I then carefully positioned my stamped images onto the diamond card-stock so that it looks like the baby is hanging off the umbrella. I really liked this card (as did my husband), and fortunately the mum-to-be loved it too!

Engagement Card

Here is a simple engagement card. To make this card, I cut out a large heart from some pink patterned paper using a Fiskars Heart shape. I then cut two triangles in some matching patterned card stock and some handmade paper so that the triangles would cover the entire card. I attached these to the white card and positioned some ribbon across the join to hide it. Finally, I attached the heart and some pearls from Kaisercraft.
